APPLICATIONS Technology used to create small volumes of parts in metal. The process of lost wax vacuum die casting allows to realize productions of small series in non ferrous metals: aluminium, magnesium, bronze, other alloys with melting point < 1100°. The feature of this technology is that it does not need the building of expensive moulds, also for the production of very complicated items. By this process products for validation tests, functionality and assembling tests can be realized. The excellent aesthetical output of the process allows high Design applications.
AVERAGE PRODUCTION TIME 10 working days (to be verified on the basis of the complexity of the object and of volumes).
MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS OF ITEMS Included in a cylinder of Ø 400 mm and 500 mm high MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF THE SINGLE ITEM 3 litres (9 kilos)
MELTING MATERIALS Non ferrous materials with melting temperature < 1100° (Aluminium – copper – bronze…..)
PRECISION TOLERANCE SWARF for SHRINKING (about 2%) Possible successive workings on CNC working machines.
ACCURACY Similar to the sacrificial model in polystyrene.
SURFACE FINISH All the objects obtained by die casting can be worked with the CNC machines or subjected to surface treatments like plating, anodizing …TULTON will do this surface treatment in the external laboratories.
